Please arrive anytime in the time window on one of the audition days, but auditionees should prepare to stay about an hour and read in different groupings.
Hard copies will be available on the day of auditions.
About the Show:
The seven Colors of the rainbow have a big fight and break up. As the Colors go off to be the rainbow on
their own, they encounter creatures from nature who try to show them the beauty and value of a world
full of many colors. But will the Colors learn the lesson? Can the rainbow be saved?
Performance dates: (2 weekends)
Friday, Mar 17 & 24 at 7:30pm
Saturday & Sunday, Mar 18 & 19 and 25 & 26, at 2pm
Rehearsals will be in Manayunk and begin immediately, 2-4 times per week until tech week.
From Mar 11, all cast members need to be available for full cast rehearsals.
(depending on turn-out, some roles might be double cast):
The Colors: (kids; gender neutral)
Red (a happy loner)
Orange (a dramatic worrywart)
Yellow (a natural leader)
Green (a peacemaker)
Blue (a chill dude)
Indigo (snooty but lovable)
Violet (high-key emotional)
The Creatures: (adults and teens; gender neutral)
Indigo bunting bird(s)
Tree (and shrubs)
Lion (with animal entourage)
Beta Fish (and the school)
Rose & Bud
Bee (and swarm)
The show features a talented ensemble to play multiple creature roles. Musicians are also encouraged
to audition, as there are musical tidbits and transitions throughout the show.
