Theatre
Our 250 seat state-of-the-art theatre is the perfect space for all types of artistic showcases. Our comfortable seating, elaborate lighting plot, and excellent acaustics makes the performing space flexible for a variety of needs. Since opening, Venice Island has featured plays, musicals, operas, concerts, poetry readings and film festivals.
Multipurpose Rooms
These two rooms double for our performance space and are home to numerous classes or workshops.
Spray Garden
For when you want to cool down without taking a swim, Venice Island features a riverside spray garden. This spray park contributes to our green environment by watering the trees and plant trenches around the facility. There is a quiet mediation sitting area located at the base of the spray garden that overlooks both the canal and Schuylkill River.
Spray Garden Hours:
Monday - Friday- 10 AM - 7 PM
Saturday, Sunday & Holidays- 12 PM - 5 PM
All hours are subject to change. Please contact us for the most up to date hours. Spray Garden season is from Memorial Day Weekend to Labor Day
Outdoor Amphitheater and Sports Court
Here you will find an outdoor basketball and Padel Court surrounded by permanent ampitheater seating which is perfect for outdoor festivals and unique performances oppurtuinies.
Green Roof
Venice Island is also equipped with a green roof, which reuses and retains stormwater by filling cisterns which aid in water consumption and channeling rain and spray ground runoff to tree and garden trenches throughout the site.
